With WP Check-In, your choir members walk past the counter-top scanner with their name tag, folder, key-ring bar code, or just their finger, and are quickly entered into the system. Within a minute of the last person checking-in, you can have a list of absentees, print mailing labels, or you can send an email to all of them in just moments using WorshiPlanner! What Is Required?

• WorshiPlanner
• WP Check-In
• Computer that has enough RAM to run Windows 2000. The software can be loaded on multiple computers, and may be networked.
• Bar Code Scanner or Finger Print Scanner

                                        

We recommend the Symbol LS 9203 counter top scanner, because it is omni-directional, which makes the check-in process quicker. Any bar code scanner will work, but a counter top scanner is hands free. The scanner is a separate purchase, and the cost is between $250 and $300.

Biometric identification is an automated method of identifying a person based upon physical or behavioral characteristics. We have selected identiMetrics biometric finger scanning identification software because it is fast, accurate, cost-effective and non-intrusive. The finger print scanner is the Futronics FS80. This is an extremely sensitive scanner that can even be used to scan children’s fingers.

How does finger scanning identification work?

Using a finger scanner, the software scans the fingerprint to create and store individual templates of unique points that identify each member. When the member returns, the software again scans the finger and looks for a match in the database. When a match is found, the member is identified!

What about my privacy?

The software scans the finger for identification. It does not store a copy of the fingerprints. Instead, the software creates a template of the unique fingerprint characteristics. These templates are stored in the database. At no time is a fingerprint image stored.
